Years 9&10: Statistics and Probability

This strand focuses on analysing and comparing data sets and understanding more complex chance events.

Statistics: Representing and interpreting data using histograms and box plots. Analysing data by calculating and comparing the mean, median, and range, and introducing standard deviation as a measure of spread. It also covers bivariate data (scatter plots).

Probability: Calculating the probability of multi-step experiments using tree diagrams and tables. It also introduces the concepts of conditional probability and independent events.
