Year 8: Overview

Australian Curriculum Mathematics Training Course for Year 8

This course builds on Year 7 and covers all three strands of the Australian Year 8 curriculum:

Number and Algebra: Understanding rates, ratios, and percentages. Solving linear equations and working with the Cartesian plane.

Measurement and Geometry: Calculating the area and circumference of circles, and the volume of cylinders. Understanding congruence and properties of geometric shapes.

Statistics and Probability: Exploring data sets using mean, median, and range. Working with Venn diagrams, two-way tables, and the probability of two-step events.
